NH Writers Project – Writers Day 2011

NH Writers Project Writers Day has came and went and I am so happy that I went. The conference was amazing. Two courses that I took stand out particularly. The first was tips on making writing easier and harder. 1.5 months of information in 1 hour and fifteen minutes. Simply an incredible string of do’s and don’ts to help aspiring writers.

The second was a talk on plotting by James Patrick Kelly. Again, simply amazing to hear him speak and discuss the craft of plotting. How to help and analyze your plots for success.

I also had the extreme pleasure of discussing my novel, The Sins of the Wolf, with an agent at the conference and she has requested a read of the first three chapters. I had been hoping to be a little farther along in my editing, however, I have learned so much in just the last week that I feel I am about 2-4 weeks from completing my rewrites.

My story has been validated, however, now it all hinges on my writing. I have so much work to do…
